Book of Gospels - Red Leather w/ Gold Edges

Book of Gospels - Red Leather w/ Gold Edges

The proclamation of the Holy Gospel is the high point of the Liturgy of the Word. Carried solemnly in the entrance procession by the deacon or lector and placed reverently upon the altar, the book of gospels serves as a visible sign of Christ's presence before His message is spoken to the assembly.

Published by Catholic Book Publishing Corp., this official liturgical edition provides a magnificent, durable, and noble volume crafted specifically for liturgical proclamation in parish communities and cathedrals.

Chiarelli’s Church Supply is honored to offer this canonically approved volume to priests, deacons, and parish sacristies seeking an enduring edition worthy of the sanctuary ambo.

Containing the complete, approved Gospel readings promulgated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for the current Lectionary for Mass, this edition combines liturgical accuracy with practical pulpit design:

• Approved USCCB Text: Gathers all the official Gospel pericopes for the liturgical year, including the Proper of Seasons (Sunday Gospels), Solemnities and Feasts of the Lord and Saints, and 17 Ritual Masses into one definitive sanctuary book.
• Sense-Line Layout: Arranged in pastoral sense lines that assist deacons and celebrants in natural phrasing, measured pacing, and articulate proclamation.
• Extra-Large Proclamation Font: Printed in bold, two-color liturgical type (crisp black text paired with rubrical red headings) to ensure effortless readability from the ambo under varied sanctuary lighting.
• Dignified Liturgical Binding: Bound in a durable red cloth cover stamped with rich gold foil designs, complemented by luminous gold-gilt page edges that catch the sanctuary candlelight.

Proclaim the Good News with the physical beauty and clarity it deserves. The Catholic Book Publishing book of gospels is built to endure years of active liturgical processions and parish worship.
