Paschal Candles stand as the sacred symbol of the Risen Christ, the Light of the World. This Evangelium Paschal Candle, part of the Eximious Collection, elevates this symbolism by paying tribute to the four Evangelists who proclaimed the Good News.
This Paschal candle depicts a striking geometric cross surrounded by the four living creatures of Revelation, centuries-old symbols of the Gospel writers: the Human (Matthew), the Lion (Mark), the Ox (Luke), and the Eagle (John). These icons are rendered in bronze-toned wax and gilded with 24-carat gold leaf. Each Paschal candle includes a marking of the current year.
