Book of Gospels cover

During the entrance procession and the Liturgy of the Word, the Book of the Gospels is held high before the assembly, visually proclaiming the supreme dignity of Christ’s message. Encasing this sacred liturgical book in an ornate metal cover transforms it into a reverent work of art worthy of the sanctuary.

Manufactured in the United States by Koleys, this solid brass Book of Gospels cover provides a dignified enclosure designed specifically to protect and honor Sacred Scripture. Chiarelli’s Church Supply is pleased to offer this handcrafted cover to parish communities and cathedrals seeking sacred metalware of exceptional longevity!

The front of the cover is finely engraved with deep-relief depictions of the Four Evangelists—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—surrounding the central cross, offering a traditional visual witness to the fourfold Gospel narrative:

• Evangelist Iconography: Richly engraved front panel featuring the Four Evangelists with fine sacred detailing.
• Exact Liturgical Press Fit: Sized to fit the standard Liturgical Press Book of the Gospels (14-1/4" H x 10-1/4" W x 2-1/8" D) cleanly and securely without shifting.
• Two Radiant Metal Finishes: Choose between an all-over, lustrous 24k gold-plated finish or a two-tone gold and silver-plated option for visual depth.
• Solid Brass Foundation: Built from heavy-gauge, durable solid brass that protects the book’s spine and binding through years of active liturgical processions.
• Cover Only: Designed to slip easily over your parish's existing Liturgical Press volume (book not included).

Give the proclamation of the Good News the visual prominence it deserves. The Koleys gospel book cover brings timeless beauty, structural durability, and reverent polish to every Sunday Mass and solemn feast.
